Amazing. I just applied the utilman.exe/sethc.exe trick on VM0, notably it was using a shitton of CPU before I reset it.
Edit: logged in, I see no programs other than MEMZ clean. Desktop Experience/Themes are already set up which is nice I suppose.

I remember seeing MEMZ running yesterday… my guess would be that MEMZ was using up your CPU & Windows locked due to inactivity. LoL!

VM1 is using a ton of CPU too, but it seems as if it's in a state where someone could reboot it (if worst comes to worst switching TTYs and Ctrl+Alt+Del prolly works). I'll see if anyone else decides how to sort it out.
And about CPU usage it's nice how the server1 laptop (which hosts all VMs) is so quiet. I only hope it's not prone to overheating though (but I mean it has survived running 24/7 for like over a year).

Alright so I've got an idea for VM0! So back in 2019/2020, I used to try to multi-boot as many versions of Windows as I could on both my main laptop and a dedicated VM on what is now my main PC.
I think it would be fun to try this on a public VM! Potential versions (rough):

• Windows XP (NT 5.1 or 5.2, latter supports x86_64)
• Windows Vista
• Windows 7
• Windows 8.1
• Windows 10 (many releases of this exist though…)

However we could go even deeper, and go after Win9x/Early NT/Windows 11/Windows 8 too, and potentially use server/embedded/modded counterparts of versions.
if anyone is interested and suggests some parameters (disk/partition size, specific versions to use, etc) I can procure the needed ISO files.

I think old NT (i.e. before the Client/Server merge) haven't been used on the public VMs yet, from what I remember. I might be wrong, I don't monitor the public VMs at all times of the year.

I never truly checked but I thought XP was the only release with a split server version (as in 2000 was always 5.0 and Vista/2008 was always 6.0). Anyway XP was on the VM a couple of times; once in the form of POSReady 2009, once when dumbfloppa installed it, and once as the FuckYouBill bootleg.
You do have a point though. I've never seen 2000 or lower get installed (there has been Win9x on VM3 but that's not NT).

I was waiting for a friend to be available to do this but if he isn't for too long I might just begin tomorrow or so.
