Unlike Flarum this actually looks normal when I turn off JavaScript though. If you are reading this, it's also possible to post without without JS.

Now that I've used esoBB for a while, (aside from the bugs) I find that it's really comfy.

  • The tag system eliminates the problem of the adminhaving to create categories, and of having to decide which one a post should fit in. It also makes topic-less forums possible.
  • It's quite light and modular.
  • It has wide browser compatibility (site works in IE7 on Windows Vista for instance).
  • It works fine without JavaScript being enabled.
  • Still, it feels modern, with its animations and Ajax support.
  • I like the gradients that the UI has. Reminds me of Aero and earlier, less bloated/retarded websites.

I think "working" is doing a lot of heavy lifting there for IE7… You can't even create an account… Images barely work… Granted, you can sign into an account and post, but it only barely works

Fair enough. Still, seeing the site at least looking mostly recognizable, unlike many others in >= IE7, was quite nice. Even some JavaScript code was able to execute!
